Nigeria's Lekki Port Project Completes All Pile-making Tasks

Release Time:

2022-06-23

The pier of the Lekki Port project adopts tube-sheet composite piles, of which the diameters of the front wall tube piles are 2.3 meters and 2.0 meters respectively. The material is X70 steel (petroleum pipeline steel), which has high yield strength and high hardness, and the difficulty of pipe making is much higher than Ordinary pipe pile. In order to strengthen production management and cost control, the project built its own pile factory. Since it was put into production in September 2020, the project department has overcome unfavorable factors such as difficulty in entering the site for technicians and prolonged transportation of raw materials, and completed 672 piles within 11 months. The production tasks of pipe piles of different specifications have laid a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the wharf tender section. At present, the construction of the front wall tube-sheet composite piles, which are the most difficult in the construction of the Lekki Port Wharf, has been completed, and the construction of the breast wall has been completed for 120 meters. The overall construction progress of the project has exceeded 60%, laying a strong foundation for the smooth completion of the project.
